What?
In perinatal physiotherapy, there are two components
The first component is prenatal physiotherapy for expectant mothers, focusing on preparing for childbirth and addressing discomforts during pregnancy.
On the other hand, postnatal physiotherapy provides tailored guidance to mothers about 6 weeks postpartum, or earlier if there are complaints.

Prenatal Physiotherapy?
During the 9 months, you may experience various pregnancy discomforts. These discomforts can be minimized with a tailored approach.
From week 30 of the pregnancy, you can visit the clinic to prepare for childbirth.
You will be taught how to prepare for childbirth and which positions and techniques are best to adopt during the delivery itself.
Postnatal Physiotherapy?
Childbirth has a serious impact on the body. Therefore, it is advisable to consider recovery with the help of a physiotherapist.
About 6 weeks after your delivery, a check of the pelvic floor muscles is performed to assess their function. Based on this check, any issues with the pelvic floor muscles are addressed.
Once the function of the pelvic floor muscles is optimized, the focus shifts to the condition of the core muscles and diastasis (the separation between the abdominal muscles), as well as the resumption of sports activities.
If you experience any complaints immediately after childbirth, you can also seek solutions for these issues. This therapy can be started as soon as any complaints arise after delivery.
